Honoring Wisconsin Women Veterans: An Evening Reception at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum

Honoring Wisconsin Women Veterans

The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) cordially invites you to an evening reception at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum to celebrate the "In Her Boots" exhibit. Join us on July 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, for an evening dedicated to honoring the remarkable service of Wisconsin women veterans.

Event Details:

  • Date: July 29, 2024

  • Time: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

  • Location: Wisconsin Veterans Museum

The "In Her Boots" exhibit showcases the personal stories and contributions of Wisconsin women veterans through the symbolic display of their boots. This unique exhibit has been an inspiring tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of these extraordinary women.

During the reception, Wisconsin women veterans whose boots were featured in the initial rotation (June 11 - July 29) will have the opportunity to retrieve their boots from the WDVA. This special moment offers a chance for veterans to reconnect with their personal artifacts and reflect on their service.

The evening will also mark the commencement of the second rotation of the "In Her Boots" exhibit, which will be accessible in the Wisconsin Veterans Museum window for an extended period. This new rotation continues to honor the legacy of women veterans and their significant contributions to our nation.

Guests will enjoy light appetizers and refreshments while having the opportunity to engage in meaningful camaraderie with fellow veterans and supporters. This event promises to be a heartfelt evening of recognition, celebration, and community.

We look forward to seeing you at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum on July 29 to honor and celebrate the incredible women who have served our country with distinction.
